Batch ball mills are batch grinding equipment widely used in industries such as ceramics, chemicals, building materials, and mineral processing. They are suitable for the fine processing of small batches and various types of materials. Their working mode is cyclical loading-grinding-unloading, offering advantages such as simple structure, convenient operation, and controllable product fineness. They are particularly suitable for new material research and development and high-end powder preparation fields, where high product consistency is required.
A batch ball mill is a small, non-continuous production mill. It boasts advantages such as simple structure, convenient operation, and minimal auxiliary equipment, producing high-fineness products in a single pass. Batch ball mills can be used for dry grinding (equipped with a dedicated product collection hopper) or wet grinding (equipped with a slurry discharge valve). This mill is suitable for production lines requiring high fineness or small production lines processing special materials.
Working Principle

This Batch ball mill is a horizontal cylindrical tubular structure equipped with two grinding chambers, belonging to the grid-type ball mill category. Material is evenly fed into the first chamber via a feeding device. The first chamber contains stepped feed plates, corrugated feed plates, and steel balls of different sizes. As the cylinder rotates, the resulting centrifugal force causes the steel balls to impact and grind the material. The ground material then enters the second grinding chamber for further grinding until it becomes powder, and is discharged from the outlet.
Product Structure

The batch ball mill consists of a feeding section, a discharging section, a rotating section, a transmission section (reducer, gears, motor, and electrical control device), and other major components. The hollow shaft is made of cast steel and has a removable liner. The rotating gears are machined by gear hobbing. The cylinder is lined with wear-resistant plates, providing excellent wear resistance. The batch ball mill operates smoothly and reliably.
