Graphite beneficiation generally consists of four stages: crushing, grinding, separation, and intermediate processing. The specific beneficiation process depends on the specific type of graphite.
The main graphite beneficiation equipment includes crushing equipment, grinding equipment, separation equipment, dewatering equipment, and classification equipment. Because different equipment is used in different process stages, the combinations of graphite beneficiation equipment are also diverse.
Crushing Stage: Jaw crushers are suitable for coarse crushing of crystalline and cryptocrystalline graphite ore; cone crushers and hammer crushers are suitable for medium and fine crushing of graphite.
Grinding Stage: Ball mills and rod mills can be selected as graphite grinding equipment.
Separation Stage: Flotation can be carried out using JJF and XCF flotation machines.
Dewatering Stage: Diaphragm filter presses, centrifugal dewatering machines, and dryers can be used to dewater graphite ore.
Classification Stage: High-frequency screens are commonly used for classifying graphite products, while plate vibrating screens and rotary screens are less commonly used. Square screens are a commonly used classification and screening device for graphite products in mineral processing.
